Cutting Coupons (Fine Motor)

Cutting along dotted lines

Instructions Printer-Friendly

  • Place coupon pages from newspaper/magazine and scissors on the table
  • Ask child to cut on the dotted lines around five coupons, helping when needed
  • Let child glue the coupons onto a piece of paper and number the coupons, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5

Simplify

If this is too difficult, let child tear out the coupons

Extend

Let child find coupons for products that are used in your home and bring to the store to redeem on your next shopping trip.  Chat about why we use coupons - save money, to try new products, etc.

  • old newspaper or magazine coupon page
  • scissors
  • paper or cut open paper grocery bag
  • glue

Ten In a Bed

(Activity 7 and 26)

There were ten in a bed and the little one said,  "Roll over, roll over."    So they all rolled over and one fell out. There were nine in the bed and the little one said,  "Roll over, roll over." So they all rolled over and one fell out.

There were eight in the bed and the little one said, 

“Roll over, roll over.”

So they all rolled over and one fell out.

There were seven in the bed in the bed and the little one said,

“Roll over, roll over.”

So they all rolled over and one fell out.

There were six in the bed and the little one said,

“Roll over, roll over.”

So they all rolled over and one fell out.

There were five in the bed and the little one said,

“Roll over, roll over.”

So they all rolled over and one fell out.

There were four in the bed and the little one said,

“Roll over, roll over.”

So they all rolled over and one fell out.

There were three in the bed and the little one said,

“Roll over, roll over.”
