Big, Bigger, Happy, Small
Having an "object hunt" for target words
- Show child a small object (paper clip, jack, cotton ball, etc.)
- Ask child to find something bigger than the object
- Do this with 5 objects (pencil, cup, pillow, block, etc) - each time letting him find an object bigger than the shown object
- Encourage child to recall and tell you about 2 happy events
After showing child one small object (paper clip, jack, cotton ball, etc.) let child find 5 objects that are bigger than the original small object.
Select a small object (for example a cotton ball) and let child find an object that is bigger (for example a tennis ball). Now use this object (tennis ball) and let child find something bigger (for example wastepaper basket). Now ask child to find something bigger than the wastepaper basket and continue until you have 5 objects that are progressively bigger.

Touch Your Nose
(Activity 25 Month 2)
Touch your nose, touch your chin, That’s the way this game begins.
Touch your eyes, Touch your knees; Now pretend you’re going to sneeze.
Touch your hair, Touch one ear; Touch your two red lips right here.
Touch your elbows where they bend,
That’s the way this touch game ends.
