Big, Bigger, Happy, Small

Illustrating target words with body motions

Instructions Printer-Friendly

  • Ask child to make his body as big as it can be by stretching arms and standing on tiptoe
  • Now make body as small as can be by curling up into a ball
  • Alternate saying big and small as child does actions
  • Have fun making and sharing different happy faces

Simplify

Show a child how big you can make your body.  Show a child how small you can make your body.

When the child makes himself small, let him find something around him that is smaller

Touch Your Nose

(Activity 25 Month 2)

Touch your nose, touch your chin, That’s the way this game begins.

Touch your eyes, Touch your knees; Now pretend you’re going to sneeze.

Touch your hair, Touch one ear; Touch your two red lips right here.

Touch your elbows where they bend,

That’s the way this touch game ends.
