Simon Says (Gross Motor)
Play game "Simon Says" to reinforce word stop
Instructions
- Attach stop sign (made in Activity 19 Month 3) to a ruler with tape
- Give Simon Says directions but when Simon Says stop - hold up sign when saying stop
- For example, Simon Says jump on two feet, Simon Says clap hands low, Simon Says stop. (hold up sign) Simon Says pat hand on top of the head, Simon Says stop. (hold up sign) Simon Says clap hands high, Simon Says crawl, Simon Says stop, (hold up sign) etc.

Let the child be the leader for Simon Says, hold the stop sign and give the directions
QUESTIONS FOR CHILD
What is a favorite game you like to play with friends?
What is something bad that could happen if you weren't listening to directions?

- sign that says "stop"
- ruler or stick to hold the sign using tape, glue, or staples
