  • Put the 1 cup of shelled peanuts into a food processor or blender
  • Add 2 tablespoons of oil and 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt if peanuts were not salted in the shell if you want salted peanut butter
  • Blend until smooth
  • Serve with crackers/celery or use for Month 8 Activity 17

*  (ALLERGIC REACTION POSSIBLE....PEANUTS ARE SMALL OBJECTS.... CAN BE CHOKING HAZARD)

Simplify

You can crack the shell of the peanut if a child needs help, but let him pick out the nuts as this is a great idea to practice eye-hand coordination.

Share that the Inca Indians who lived in South America many years ago were the first to grind peanuts into peanut butter.  Help a child find the continent of South America on a map or globe.

Up Down Turn Around

(Activity 14 Month 8)

Up, down

Turn around.

Touch the sky,

And touch the ground.

Wiggle fingers

Wiggle toes

Wiggle shoulders

And say "hello"

Up, down

Turn around

Touch the sky,

And touch the ground.

Pat your belly

Blink your eyes,

Blow a kiss,

And say “good-bye “

I Need To Be Honest

(Activity 13 Month 8)

I need to be honest

  My mom and dad say

And telling the truth

  Is just one way!

Why be honest

I ask mom and dad.

You will feel your best

When the truth is always said.
