Instructions
- Gather a roll of masking or painters tape and a marker
- Write color word Red on the tape with child. Give tape to child and let child quickly find a red item and place tape on item.
- Return and write another word together and let child quickly find the item
- Try with these or other words - sink, door, brown, soap, toe, table, yellow, floor, Mom, book, telephone, couch, etc.
Extend
When writing the word, ask child what letter begins the word and the sound the letter makes.
