Using blue gelatin as writing surface

Instructions Printer-Friendly

  • Place dry blue gelatin in a jelly roll pan or flat cookie sheet with sides
  • Let child draw 2 circles in the dry gelatin
  • Let child draw 2 squares in the dry gelatin
  • Draw the letters B and F in the gelatin
  • Draw the number 2 in the gelatin
  • Write the word blue in the gelatin
  • Write the word two in the gelatin

Simplify

Have an adult draw the circle, square, B, F or 2 first and let child copy

Extend

Tell child what letters to use to write blue and two and see if they can make the word

Materials

  • dry blue gelatin (jello, etc.)
  • cookie sheet with sides
