Month 2 · Activity 6 ·   Numbers

Instructions

  • Place dry blue gelatin in a jelly roll pan or flat cookie sheet with sides
  • Let the child draw 2 circles in the dry gelatin
  • Let the child draw 2 squares in the dry gelatin
  • Draw the letters B and F in the gelatin
  • Draw the number 2 in the gelatin
  • Write the word blue in the gelatin
  • Write the word two in the gelatin

Simplify

Have an adult draw the circle, square, B, F or 2 first and let child copy

Extend

Tell the child what letters to use to write "blue" and "two" and see if they can make the word. Let the child find what letter looks like a circle in "two"

QUESTIONS FOR CHILD

If blue wasn't the color of the sky, what color would you make it and why?

Which parts of your body come in "twos" or a "pair"?
