Review

Counting and sense of touch activitiy

Instructions Printer-Friendly

  • Ask child to count aloud while touching five objects of their choosing (desk, couch, chair, magazine, cup, etc.) For example, when touching desk they say one, when touching couch they say two, touching a chair they say three, touching a magazine they say four and touching a cup they say five
  • Repeat with asking child to touch one object, then two objects, three objects, and four objects

Extend

Turn into a memory game by having adult touch three objects and then let child repeat touching the objects in the same order.  Next do four objects and let child repeat.  Proceed with five objects or more until child is unable to recall the objects.  Remember to end the game with a series of touching objects that the child is able to remember.
