Fun shape game that can be played anywhere
Instructions
Play I Spy ... asking child to find something in the home/classroom/outside with these shapes:
- Circle (for example, a round clock)
- Square (napkin)
- Triangle
- Rectangle
- Star
- Heart
- Oval
Simplify
Begin by having the adult "Spy" an object first as an example of a shape. "I spy with my own little eyes a square pillow on the couch." Next, let the child find another object in that shape!

There were ten in a bed and the little one said, "Roll over, roll over." So they all rolled over and one fell out. There were nine in the bed and the little one said, "Roll over, roll over." So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were eight in the bed and the little one said,
“Roll over, roll over.”
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were seven in the bed in the bed and the little one said,
“Roll over, roll over.”
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were six in the bed and the little one said,
“Roll over, roll over.”
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were five in the bed and the little one said,
“Roll over, roll over.”
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were four in the bed and the little one said,
“Roll over, roll over.”
So they all rolled over and one fell out.
There were three in the bed and the little one said,
