Instructions
- On a sheet of construction paper, let the child use brown marker/crayon to draw trees
- Using a red ink pad or a small container of red paint, dip in finger and place three red apples on each branch or on each tree
- Place art project in a space for all to see
Simplify
Instead of drawing a tree trunk, let a child tear a brown paper bag/construction paper into a tree trunk shape. Add branches with the marker and add the red apples.

Extend
Encourage a child to make several trees with three apples. Let the child count aloud all the apples on all the trees.
