Host a small tea party with friends

Having tea with a friend is a custom in many countries
Gather friends/family and make tea (T)
Select green/white/herbal tea and hot water
Most teas brew 3 to 4 minutes after placing tea leaves in boiling water so let child watch as the brew becomes deeper in color; you can dilute with water for children
Add milk, sugar or honey if desired to tea - be careful with temperature of the tea
Utilize good manners while serving tea, asking what kind of tea and what they would like to add to tea

Together find the country of China on a map or globe and share that this is where drinking tea and growing tea leaves started a long time ago.
