Reading and learning target words
Month 4 · Activity 15 · Target Words
Instructions
- From this month’s books or other books, let a child choose a book to read now and another book to read later
- Place a note on the chosen books labeled now and later
- Read the now book immediately
- Read the later book at least an hour after reading the now book

Simplify
Ask a child something they would like to do now and something they would like to do later. Agree on the activities and do the now activity immediately while waiting for an hour or more for the later activity
Extend
Chat with a child about things that are happening right now - what you are wearing, what you are doing, how you are feeling, etc.
Chat with a child about things that will happen later - bedtime, an upcoming visit from family or friends, a birthday, etc.

If you had friends all over the world, how would you stay in touch?
