Four Layer Parfait

Using food preparation for counting and using words first and fourth

Instructions Printer-Friendly

  • For each serving use a small cup or bowl
  • First layer have child drop four blueberries in the bowl
  • Second layer add a spoonful of vanilla yogurt
  • Third layer add some granola
  • Fourth layer add four raspberries
  • Repeat layers of blueberries, yogurt, granola, and raspberries
  • Eat and enjoy for breakfast, snack or dessert

Let the child make a parfait for every family member 

Chat about the names of grades at school. You begin in kindergarten and next is first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, etc.

What is the first thing you do every morning when you wake up?
