Using our senses helps us to understand what's happening around us. Our senses send messages to our brain. Not everyone is able to use all five of their senses. If someone is unable to see, they are blind. If someone is unable to hear, they are deaf. A word to tell others they have an issue is "handicap".
QUESTIONS FOR CHILD
If one of your senses had to be taken away, which sense would you choose and why?
Do you have any friends with a handicap? Are there ways to help people with handicaps? (glasses, hearing aids, wheelchairs, etc.)
